Program Details:
DAY 1 : TANGIER - CHEFCHAOUEN – FES
On the first day of your trip, we’ll meet at the Tangier port before embarking on a scenic drive through the Rif Mountains and the city of Tetouan. You’ll be treated to stunning mountain vistas until we finally reach Chefchaouen, a picturesque village nestled at the base of the Rif Mountains. Inside the village’s medina, we’ll find a charming Spanish-style central square surrounded by an array of craft workshops, shops, cafes, and restaurants.
Our journey will then take us to Volubilis, an important Roman archaeological site that offers a glimpse into Morocco’s rich historical past. Along the way, we’ll pass through Wazan and several other towns in the Rif Mountains. Once we’re done exploring the ruins, we’ll proceed to the nearby city of Meknes, where we’ll stop for lunch and admire the Medina’s imposing walls, the grand Bab El Mansour gate, and the breathtaking Moulay Ismail’s sanctuary.
After our Meknes visit, we’ll continue our journey to the city of Fez, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Riad.
DAY 2 : FEZ - VISIT OF THE CITY
After having breakfast at your riad, you will begin exploring the oldest city in Morocco by walking through its winding streets and alleys. Our guided tour will commence with a visit to the Royal Palace, followed by the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate and the Jewish quarter, which happens to be the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, dating back to the 16th century. We’ll ensure that you get to experience all of the sites with significant cultural and historical value, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University, which happens to be the oldest in Africa, the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mulay Idriss Mausoleum. Later on, we’ll break for lunch before continuing our tour to the tile cooperative, culminating with a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez. You’ll then return to your Riad for dinner and overnight accommodation.
DAY 3 : FES - IFRANE - MIDELT - ZIZ VALLEY - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA - ERG CHEBBI
After having breakfast at your hotel, we will depart for Merzouga. Our route will take us through Ifrane and the captivating Tiz Ntalghamt pass, as well as the Ziz Gorges, allowing us to enjoy the High Atlas plateau’s breathtaking views and witness the landscape’s transformation as we approach Errachidia. As we continue our journey through the lush Ziz Valley, we will make several stops en route to Erfoud and Rissani, where we can take in the panoramic vistas. Upon our arrival in Merzouga, we will offer you a traditional glass of mint tea to welcome you, followed by a camel ride to a tented camp located in the midst of the Erg Chebbi desert. You will spend the night enveloped by the dunes and the mesmerizing rhythms of the Berber drums.
DAY 4 : MERZOUGA - TODRA GORGES - DADES VALLEY
We will rise early to witness the stunning sunrise over the Sahara dunes. We will then return to the hotel on camelback, where we can have breakfast and take a refreshing shower. Our journey will then proceed through the Saghro Mountains, ultimately arriving at Tinghir. We will take a brief stroll through the Todra Gorges before continuing to the Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5 : DADES VALLEY - VALLEY OF THE ROSES - OUARZAZATE
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a journey through the scenic Dades Valley, making our way towards Kelaa Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The Dades Valley is known for its “Path of the Thousand Kasbahs,” which presents numerous opportunities for capturing breathtaking photographs, including the adjacent Valley of Roses. Our next destination will be Ouarzazate, renowned for its film studios. On our way to Marrakech, we will stop by the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco, built by T- Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs of the early 20th century. Ait Ben Haddou was once a crucial stopover for caravans traveling from the Sahara to Marrakech and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we cross the High Atlas Mountains, the landscape will undergo a dramatic transformation, offering panoramic views of the beautiful Berber villages. Our journey will culminate in Marrakech, where we will spend the night in a traditional Riad AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH
DAY 6 : MARRAKECH: GUIDED CITY TOUR
Following breakfast at the Riad, we will explore Marrakech, also known as “the red city.” Our itinerary will cover the most significant historical and cultural landmarks, such as the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. We will then have lunch at a restaurant located close to the renowned Jemma El-Fna Square. In the afternoon, we will wander through the souks, where we can discover various handicrafts. There will be ample free time in the afternoon to explore other parts of the city on your own
DAY 7 : TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT
After breakfast, we will take you to the airport at the scheduled time. Once we say our goodbyes, our services will come to an end.
