The 3-day Merzouga desert tour departing from Marrakech will take you on an adventure through the southern Sahara, offering the opportunity to discover its magnificent Kasbahs and immerse yourself in unforgettable moments with the Berber people. Along the way, you will visit the historic Ait ben Haddou Kasbah and the famous movie studios in Ouarzazate.

The tour will also take you to explore the stunning Dades and Toudra Gorges before spending a night in a desert
camp, where you can experience the authentic Berber lifestyle by sleeping in a traditional Berber tent.

Program Details:

DAY 1 : MARRAKECH - AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE - ROSE VALLEY - DADES GORGES.

“Begin your day at 8:00 am with a departure from your hotel or riad towards the High Atlas Mountains. You will cross the magnificent Tizi n ‘Tichka pass and arrive at the Ait Ben Addou Kasbah, where you will have the opportunity to explore its beauty. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your journey towards the Merzouga desert via the Ouarzazate road.
You will also have the chance to visit the historic Kasbah Taourirte in Ouarzazate, as well as the Skoura and Mille Kasbahs while crossing the stunning Valley of Roses. Next, you will reach the Dades Valley and visit the Ait Youl Kasbah before continuing to explore the Dades Gorges. Spend the night at a hotel in Dades, surrounded by the
breathtaking scenery of the area.”

DAY 2 : DADES VALLEY - TOUDRA GORGES - ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

“After breakfast, we will depart for the Toudgha Gorges and continue our journey to Erfoud, passing through the stunning palm grove of Tinjdad and reaching Tourug, where we will have lunch.
Afterwards, we will return to Erfoud and make a stop to visit a fossil production workshop. We will then continue our journey via the Merzouga track to reach the Erg Chebbi Dunes. Here, we will switch from camels to a 4×4 vehicle to cross the dunes and spend the night in a Berber tent at the desert camp.
Enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars and experience the tranquility and beauty of the desert, before retiring to your comfortable tent for the night.”

DAY 3 : MERZOUGA - RISSANI - AZROU - FEZ

“Start your day with a delicious breakfast and then take a camel trek back to the dune line where you can take a quick shower before we depart for Fes. On the way, we will make a stop to admire the panoramic views over the Ziz valley before crossing the High Atlas mountains once again.

We will stop in the town of Midelt for lunch and then continue our journey, passing through Azrou and the magnificent cedar wood forest, where we might have the opportunity to see the monkeys. Finally, we will reach the legendary city of Fes, marking the end of our adventure.
