Program Details:

DAY 1 : MARRAKECH - AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE - AGDEZ – ZAGORA

Begin your adventure after breakfast by exploring the great south and the Draa Valley on a private tour from Marrakech into the Zagora desert, traveling in an SUV or luxury minivan. We’ll cross Berber villages and traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, one of Morocco’s greatest passes at 2260 meters above sea level. As we cross the mountains and take in the dramatic scenery and changing landscapes, we’ll arrive at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a seventeenth-century World Heritage Site. With a local professional guide, we’ll explore the Kasbah and its fortified palaces, one of the region’s most attractive sites. We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant near the Kasbah. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey to Ouarzazate, where we’ll take pictures of the old UNESCO Kasbah Taourirt before heading south to Zagora, a journey of about 185 km through the valley of a Thousand Kasbahs and Morocco’s largest palm grove. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with mint tea, and you can unwind while organizing your luggage for another camel adventure. You can admire the beautiful sunset over the small dunes and palm grove while riding a camel for one hour before arriving at your final destination in a desert camp in the middle of nowhere, where you’ll spend a beautiful night under a nomadic Berber tent. This tour promises to be an unforgettable adventure through Morocco’s stunning landscapes and cultural heritage.

DAY 2 : ZAGORA - DRAA VALLEY - AGDEZ - OUARZAZATE – TICHKA PASS – MARRAKECH

“Start your day with an unforgettable sunrise experience behind the Zagora desert’s mountains and small dunes. Followed by a traditional breakfast, you will embark on a camel ride to your hotel in Zagora. Once you arrive and freshen up, we will begin our return journey to Marrakech.

On the way, we will pass through the Draa Valley, with a stop in the village of Agdez, where we will visit the 500- year-old Kasbah Tamnouggalte, the region’s first Kasbah. Next, we will cross the anti-Atlas and reach Ouarzazate, where you can opt to visit the movie studios.

After that, we will proceed to a local restaurant for lunch and then continue towards Marrakech. On the way back, we will stop at the Tichka Pass to capture the stunning scenery. Finally, we will drop you off at your accommodation in Marrakech.”
