Program Details:

1 FULL DAY : FULL-DAY PRIVATE TOUR TO OUARZAZATE AND AIT BEN HADDOU OLD KASBAHS FROM MARRAKECH

At approximately 8:00 AM, our driver/guide will come to your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech to take you on an exceptional day trip to the ancient UNESCO kasbah Ait Benhaddou. During this exploratory adventure, we will travel through the High Atlas Mountains, passing by charming Berber villages nestled in the foothills, with an altitude of 2260M. Upon crossing the mountains, we will arrive at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO Heritage site that has been designated as such since 1987. Even today, a few families still reside within the Kasbah’s walls. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to see the Berber villages in the High Atlas Mountains. Before reaching the Ounila valley and Ait Benhaddou kasbah, where famous movies like Gladiator, Alexander, and Kingdom of Heaven were filmed, we will stop to admire the picturesque scenery.

After crossing the Ounila river, we will begin exploring the Kasbah, and stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants. Following lunch, you will have an hour to walk and explore the Kasbah.
Next, we will head to the city of Ouarzazate to visit another old Kasbah, Kasbah Taourirte, from the outside, and if time permits, we will visit the cinema studios. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech via Tizi n’Tichka. This day trip will provide you with the opportunity to experience the Berber way of life, which has endured for centuries.
